How do I enroll my child?

To enroll your child, click Enroll at the top of our website and follow the instructions to complete the Pre-Registration Form. You’ll also need to pay a $80 Pre-Registration Fee, which is required to submit the form.

What will I need to provide for my child?

You will be provided with a supply list and daily requirements at the time of enrollment.

Items typically include: diapers, wipes, pacifiers, diaper cream, extra clothing, and lunch, among others.

What is a waitlist?

Waitlists in Early Childhood Education are dynamic and can evolve frequently.

A variety of factors influence when a spot may become available, such as:

A family relocating

A parent’s job situation changing

A child aging up to the next age group

Unfortunately, we cannot predict the exact wait time, which may range from a week to a year. For detailed information, visit the Waitlist FAQ section below.

What if I want to withdraw from the program?

You are able to withdraw your child from the program at any time.

Please refer to the Family Handbook on our Mission & Resources page for specific details about the withdrawal process, including any necessary notice periods or steps you need to take.

Waitlist & Open Enrollment

What is the waitlist process?

Waitlists in Early Childhood Education are dynamic and can change often. Many factors influence when a spot may become available for any age group or program at TVELM.

We are unable to predict an exact wait time, as it varies from a week to potentially a year, depending on factors such as:

A family relocating.

A family deciding to stay home and no longer needing childcare.

Work schedule changes for parents/guardians.

A grandparent becoming available to care for their grandchild.

A parent losing their job and no longer needing childcare.

A child aging up and moving to the next classroom.

How are spots filled?

Children on the waitlist are not assigned a specific "number."

When a spot becomes available, we follow this order:

If a current TVELM student is aging up to the next classroom, they will be offered the open spot.

If a current TVELM student has a sibling needing a spot in the open classroom, the sibling will be offered the spot.

After both of these options, it goes to the general waitlist.

Do you have an Open Enrollment?

Yes, we have Open Enrollment once a year for the upcoming school year, which runs from August to July.

Here’s how the process works:

February: Open Enrollment begins for current TVELM families to re-enroll for the next school year.

March: Waitlist families are given the opportunity to enroll, with the Director sending an email regarding current openings.

April: Enrollment opens to the community for any remaining spots.

Can I join the waitlist at any time?

Yes, we encourage all families to join the waitlist as early as possible. We cannot contact you about an open spot unless you are on the waitlist.

What if a spot becomes available but I'm not ready to accept it?

If a spot opens and you’re not ready to accept, you can choose to remain on the waitlist for the next available spot or request to be removed from the waitlist.

You will not be removed from the waitlist unless you request it.

Tuition & Fees

How do we pay our monthly tuition?

Tuition payments are processed automatically through our app. This ensures timely and secure payments. If you prefer to pay with cash or check, please reach out to our Director for alternative payment arrangements.

How is tuition billed?

Tuition is billed on a monthly basis. You will receive an invoice at the start of each month, and payments are due by the designated due date. You can view and manage your payments via our parent communication app.

Does TVELM offer a vacation allowance? How does it work?

➝ Yes! Each family receives one week (5 consecutive days) of vacation allowance per school year.

To use your vacation allowance:

All 5 days must be used consecutively.

Your child cannot attend school on any of those days for the discount to apply.

Unused vacation days do not roll over to the next school year. They must be used before the last week of the current school year.

Where can I find more information on pricing?

You can find more information on pricing by visiting our Pricing page here on our website.

Curriculum & Learning

What is used for curriculum?

We use the "One in Christ" curriculum along with an Emergent Curriculum approach, offering both academic and spiritual education.

The One in Christ curriculum focuses on biblical principles, while the Emergent Curriculum fosters child-centered learning.

Our curriculum is designed to cater to the needs of children from birth to 5 years old, with developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.

What are play-based learning experiences?

Our program encourages play-based learning, which is an approach that fosters literacy, numeracy, and social skills through hands-on, creative play. Children engage in activities that help them develop problem-solving abilities, motor skills, language, and cognitive skills.

As they play, children explore the world around them, and educators provide meaningful interactions to enhance the learning experience.

General Information

What age groups do you serve?

We serve children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. This allows us to provide high-quality, age-appropriate care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.

Are you Paths to Quality certified?

Yes, we are proud to be certified at Level 3 by the Paths to Quality (PTQ) program.

This certification is the highest level awarded to childcare centers in Indiana and reflects our commitment to providing a high-quality educational environment. We also adhere to CCDF, VCP, Registered Ministry, and NAEYC standards to ensure the best practices in early childhood education.

What are your hours?

Our standard childcare hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

For families who need extended care, we offer additional hours from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and/or 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM based on availability. Please note that there may be a waitlist for extended care, so we recommend inquiring early if you're interested.

Do you offer daily communication about my child’s day?

Yes, we use a parent/childcare communication app that allows us to send real-time updates, including photos and information about your child’s activities throughout the day.

This app also allows you to communicate directly with the teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

What are your student-teacher ratios?

We adhere to state-required ratios, but we also pride ourselves on maintaining smaller-than-usual ratios to provide more individualized attention.

Here are the specific ratios for each age group:

6 weeks - 12 months: 4:1

1-2 years: 5:1

2-3 years: 5:1

3-5 years: 10:1

Our commitment to health and safety ensures your child is always in good hands.

Do you support breastfed babies?

Yes, we support all feeding choices. Whether your baby is breastfed or formula-fed, we work with families to ensure the child’s nutritional needs are met in the way that works best for each family.

Please refer to our Family Handbook on the Mission & Resources page for further details on how we support breastfeeding families.

Spiritual Education

Are you a ministry?

Yes, we are a ministry of The Ville Church. We operate as a non-profit preschool and childcare center with a mission to provide high-quality care for children from birth to 5 years old while teaching them about Jesus and building relationships with families.

Do you teach children about Jesus?

Yes, as a ministry of The Ville Church, we are committed to teaching children about Jesus in a developmentally appropriate way.

We introduce Bible stories, prayers, and Christian values that align with our doctrine, helping children understand God's love in a way they can relate to.

What is the belief of TVELM?

We believe that all Scripture is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16). It is inspired by God and the infallible and authoritative word of God.  All Scripture should be the guide for our practical instruction for faith and our lives (John 5:39; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 10:11).

We believe in the one living Triune God:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe God our father, the almighty, is the one and only true eternal God. He called all of creation into being.

We believe God is a God of love (1 John 4:8-10) and made us in His likeness (Genesis 1:27).

We believe Jesus Christ, God’s one and only son, suffered and died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for sin; that He was buried and, in three days, He rose again.

We believe He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe the Holy Spirit lives in those who believe and that through the gifts of His Spirit, we are equipped for the works He has planned for us (Ephesians 2:10).

We believe that Christian Education—educating people to know Christ as our Lord and Savior—is important from the crib to the grave. Our desire is to see not only children and youth, but adults, to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s love for us.

Do we need to attend The Ville Church to attend?

No, you do not need to attend The Ville Church to enroll your child in our preschool and childcare program. We welcome children and families from all backgrounds.

Child Development & Discipline

Do you evaluate children’s development?

Yes, we use the Ages and Stages system to assess your child’s development.

We hold conferences twice a year (and as needed) to discuss your child’s progress, strengths, and areas for growth. These evaluations help us tailor learning experiences to each child's individual needs.

What type of discipline is used?

Our program focuses on guidance rather than punishment. We use NAEYC standards and Conscious Discipline strategies to teach children positive social and emotional behaviors.

We aim to provide an environment where children feel safe, understood, and supported in their growth.

What if my child has issues with separation?

We understand that separation can be challenging for both children and parents.

We use strategies tailored to each child's unique needs, working closely with families to ensure a smooth transition and provide emotional support.

Does my child need to be potty trained?

Children in our Little Learners Program (ages 3-5) must be fully potty trained before they can attend.

Potty training is defined as the ability to walk to the bathroom, use the toilet independently, wipe, flush, and wash hands without assistance. If you have any questions or need support with the process, feel free to reach out.
